Bio
Always committed to ongoing training, Rena Loveman has continued to build on her acting skills in Hawaii and Los Angeles. Most recently, she has been cast in the independent full-feature film, Popolo and a short SAG film in Los Angeles. She has also obtained background roles in both “Aloha” (Dir. Cameron Crowe) and “Jurassic World” (Dir. Colin Trevorrow) movies.
Currently, she is training with at the world-famous Beverly Hills Playhouse in Beverly Hills, CA, where she studies multiple times a week. Previously, she was studying at Scott Rogers Studio in Honolulu, HI. She has been receiving voice-over instruction from professional voice-over coach, Nancy Wolfson, starting in early 2013. Local improvisational groups have also been a frequent occurance for Rena.
She is always looking for new work to challenge her skills. Being represented by ADR Agency, Hawaii’s #1 talent agency, has extended new and challenging experiences.
Rena has always placed herself in positions where she has opportunities to perform. A licensed elementary school teacher in both Massachusetts and Hawaii, she has used the classroom as her stage and her students as the audience. Her ability to sing (alto 2) with the children expanded the opportunities for learning. Prior to working in education, Rena used creative talents as a graphic designer in a world-renowned advertising agency in Boston, MA.
In the future, Rena would like to combine her experiences with children in the classroom and her acting skills to provide TV/film performances that represent real-life situations and have positive messages.
